Detailed directions and travel information
No specific public transport line directly serves the Waterfront. However, local buses (e.g., Petra Jaya Transport, Bau Transport) frequently pass through the city centre, with stops a short walk away.
From Kuching International Airport (KIA), take Jalan Lapangan Terbang and follow signs towards Kuching City Centre. Merge onto Jalan Tun Jugah, then Jalan Song Thian Cheok, and finally Jalan Abell towards the Waterfront. The drive is approximately 20-30 minutes depending on traffic.
On-street parking is available along the Waterfront and surrounding streets, but can be limited. Several multi-storey car parks are nearby, such as the Plaza Merdeka car park. Expect to pay around RM 2-3 per hour.
From Kuching International Airport: 20-30 minutes by car. From Padungan area: 5-10 minutes by car or 20-30 minutes walk.
Visit during the late afternoon or early evening for cooler temperatures and beautiful sunset views. Bring comfortable walking shoes and insect repellent, especially if planning to stay after dark.
