From Kota Kinabalu city centre, take a bus from the Inanam Bus Terminal towards Ranau. Alight at the Kinabalu Park entrance (Kundasang).
The Kinabalu Park entrance is directly accessible from the bus stop. The main visitor centre and starting point for the climb are within walking distance.
From Kota Kinabalu, take the AH15 (Kota Kinabalu-Sandakan Highway) towards Ranau. The drive is approximately 2 hours. Follow signs for Kinabalu Park.
Ample parking is available at Kinabalu Park Headquarters. It is generally free for visitors.
From Kota Kinabalu: Approximately 2 hours by car or bus.
Book your climbing permit and accommodation well in advance, especially during peak season. Climbers must be accompanied by a registered guide. Bring warm clothing, rain gear, sturdy hiking boots, and a headlamp.
