Detailed directions and travel information
Rapid Penang Bus 101 or 102
The bus will drop you off directly at the entrance of Penang National Park in Teluk Bahang. The park entrance is visible from the bus stop.
From George Town city centre, take Jalan Burma (Route 6) heading west, which merges into Jalan Teluk Bahang. Continue straight following signs for Teluk Bahang and the National Park. The drive is scenic, passing through coastal towns. The park entrance is at the end of the road in Teluk Bahang. Drive time is approximately 45-60 minutes depending on traffic.
There is a large open-air car park directly opposite the park entrance. Cost is typically around RM3-RM5 per entry. Availability is generally good, but it can fill up on weekends and public holidays.
From George Town city centre: 45-60 mins by car, 60-90 mins by bus.
Start your trek early in the morning to avoid the midday heat and crowds. Bring plenty of water, insect repellent, sun protection, and wear comfortable hiking shoes. Register at the park office before entering (free of charge).
