No direct public transport to the islands. You need to take a bus or fly to Kuala Terengganu or Kota Bharu, then take a taxi/Grab to Kuala Besut Jetty. From Kuala Besut, take a speedboat to the islands.
From Kuala Lumpur, take the East Coast Expressway (LPT) towards Kuala Terengganu. Exit towards Kota Bharu and follow signs for Kuala Besut Jetty. The drive is approximately 5-6 hours. Alternatively, fly to Kuala Terengganu (TGG) or Kota Bharu (KBR) and take a taxi/Grab to Kuala Besut.
Secure parking is available at Kuala Besut Jetty, typically costing around RM10-RM15 per day.
From Kuala Lumpur: Approx. 5-6 hours drive to Kuala Besut Jetty. From Kuala Terengganu: Approx. 1.5-2 hours drive to Kuala Besut Jetty. Speedboat transfer to islands: 30-45 minutes.
The islands are closed during the monsoon season (typically November to February). Book speedboat tickets and accommodation in advance, especially during peak season. Bring cash as ATMs are scarce on the islands.
