No direct public transport to the park entrance. The nearest major town with transport links is Gerik. From Kuala Lumpur, take a bus to Gerik Bus Terminal (approx. 5-6 hours).
From Kuala Lumpur, take the North-South Expressway (E1) towards Penang, exit at Simpang Pulai (Exit 130) and follow Route 76 towards Gerik. Continue on Route 76 towards Jeli/Kota Bharu. The park entrance is located off this route. Drive time from KL is approximately 5-6 hours.
Limited parking is available at the park's main jetty (Banding Island or Sg. Kechil jetty). It is generally free but availability can be an issue during peak seasons. It is advisable to arrange parking with your tour operator.
From Gerik town centre: Approximately 45-60 minutes drive to the park jetties. From Ipoh: Approximately 2-3 hours drive.
Best time to visit is during the dry season (February to September). Book accommodation and tours in advance, especially if travelling during school holidays. Bring insect repellent, sunscreen, a hat, comfortable walking shoes, and a reusable water bottle.
